Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia received Director of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of Kazakhstan’s MFA

On April 2, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan received a delegation led by Didar Temenov, Director of the Multilateral Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, who was in Armenia to hold political consultations between the multilateral cooperation departments of the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Kazakhstan.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the holding of consultations demonstrates the mutual readiness to deepen cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and multilateral platforms.

Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan presented Armenia’s priorities within international organizations and also touched upon the established peace in the region, highlighting the importance of advancing the connectivity agenda.

During the political consultations preceding the meeting, the heads of the multilateral cooperation departments of the two Foreign Ministries addressed a wide range of agenda issues on cooperation within international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE.

Views were exchanged on priorities of sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as on international conferences planned in Armenia and Kazakhstan, including the efforts and initiatives undertaken in preparation for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will take place in Yerevan this year.
